Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
PreviewAPI captures screenshots of web pages on your behalf. That capability must not be pointed at people or systems in harmful ways. You are responsible for every URL you submit.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not use the service to:
- run phishing, credential capture, or other deception against anyone;
- stalk, harass, or conduct illegal monitoring of a person;
- gain or attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- capture pages you have no right to access or reproduce;
- collect content that is illegal to possess or distribute;
- probe, scan, or attack internal or private networks;
- evade rate limits, resell captured abuse capacity, or disrupt the service.
2. Network restrictions
URLs resolving to private or internal network ranges (localhost, RFC 1918 addresses, cloud metadata endpoints) may be blocked automatically. Attempting to bypass these blocks is itself a violation.
3. Enforcement
We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy, remove offending content, and — where required — report activity to authorities. Terminated accounts forfeit remaining credits per the Refund Policy.
4. Reporting abuse
Seen something captured through PreviewAPI that shouldn't be? Email [email protected] with the image URL and we will investigate promptly.
